This blog is not for the light-hearted or easily offended. If either one of those descriptions applies to you, i would suggest you start drinking before you read this blog. A sense of humor is suggested. If you don't have one that sucks for you … find one and get a life!
Yesterday, I had a ton of stuff to do. Predictably, I did none of it. I started out with the best of intentions. I got up, did all my dog stuff, ate breakfast (which in my case is always a chocolate protein shake) and then went to my spinning class. Yeah, it was a good work out if you were wondering. If you weren’t wondering then yeah, it was a good work out.
Then I came home and astonishingly enough I wrote a post. Or at least I think I wrote a post. I honestly can’t remember and I’m not going to use up what little memory I have on searching for a stupid answer to that.
Anyhoo, then my friend Ann (@AZAnswers for you Twitter people) came over so I could help her figure out some social media stuff. Ann is in a contest and needs twitter, Linked In and Facebook followers to win. If she does win then bammmm…$10,000 given to the United Way so go follow her people.
So, I was helping Ann and I also had some tree guys here taking down some trees. Then Kevin, without EVEN checking with me, had some guys come pressure wash the deck so it was a cacophony of noise. See how I used that big word? Yeah, I know some shit.
So all this crap was going on and I finally got Keely down even though I was way behind schedule. She had her friend Kathleen coming over and they wanted to sit out by the pool. Unfortunately, that wasn’t going to happen since I had tree guys and pressure washing guys and oh yeah, it was raining.
So we hung out and talking about our double top-secret project and then they all went out to lunch. I stayed home because there was work to be done. Not by me though.
After lunch Keely’s friend Anne came over to join the crew and somehow we started watching Disney stuff and then we started watching some countdowns on YouTube of the top Disney songs ever.
I can’t even tell you how fun it was singing along and yelling at the TV because we didn’t agree with the order of the songs on the lists. Clearly, these people who made the lists weren’t in my household.
Keely thought the top Disney song ever would be “A whole new world” and Kathleen thought it would be “The circle of life.” Now remember, this countdown had the top 60 songs on it (Oops, how could you remember since I never told you. Well, it had the top 60 songs on it). So they get to number one, we’re waiting with baited breath (or is that bated breath? I don’t even know!) and guess what: it says 1A and we’re all like “WHAT THE FUCK?” and they play “When you wish upon a star?”
Well, of course that IS the Disney song but Jiminy Crickets, are they serious? (hahaha…get it? That’s a pun. Jiminy Crickets?) After that 1B: The circle of life and the 1C: A Whole new world.
Yeah, it was so much fun and so awesome that we’ve decided to do our own list. The thing is, a lot of the songs were from Hercules which I had never seen in full so then Keely and Daniel insisted that I watch that so we spent hours watching Hercules and guess what? I never accomplished anything all day so I had to order pizza for dinner.
There you go! How to spend an entire day laughing and having fun and doing jack shit. If doing jack shit were a job I’d be fucking rich.
Ok, see ya.
