In which i had an injury

Are you guys like me? Always hurting yourself?? I don’t mean your knee or your elbow or your shoulder and stuff (I mean, that hurts too by the way) but I mean smashing into stuff constantly.

The other day as I was walking into the bathroom to go take a shower I had a MAJOR accident. I was walking and I accidentally (of course it’s an accident. Why would I do this on purpose right?) kicked the open door with my right foot.

It hurt so badly that I fell and smashed into the doorknob with my bicep. Now you wouldn’t think that would be such a big deal but let me tell you, I can’t even remember the last time I had that type of pain.

I could feel my toe killing my but the pain in my bicep was excruciating. I walked into my bedroom and fell on the bed and I was rolling around writhing going “oh my god, oh my god.” I thought I was going to puke on the bed it hurt so badly.

After a while I realized that my toe was also throbbing but I didn’t even care because my arm hurt so badly. I knew then that it must be pretty bad because if you’ve ever smashed your toe into an immovable object you know that hurts quite a bit.

Finally I felt like I could make it through the shower and then afterwards I called Kevin and told him that I had “a reportable OSHA injury.” After I explained what happened he agreed that it was an OSHA injury except that my home didn’t actually qualify as a “work environment” and that I would NOT be getting workman’s comp for my injury.

I took two Aleve and honestly, I couldn’t even move my arm because I was so busy killing me and tingling.

At any rate, 3 days later this is what it looks like. Pretty awesome huh?

I should probably be saying, “you should have seen the other guy.” I tried to take a picture of my toe too but the bruise is on the very end and hard to take a picture of. I guess you should be thankful you don’t have to see my feet!!

So guys, I’m all injured from a stupid door and doorknob and I’m constantly smashing into things. How about you guys??? Happen to you too??

YES!!!! It happens a lot! Dressers, doorways, chairs, you name it! I’m always running into things. My husband thinks it is hysterical! So glad it isn’t just me! The worst part is I forget what I ran into and I’ll have a bruise and can’t remember what I ran in to that gave me the bruise!

OUCH! Holy smokes that looks painful… But if there is an upside…your bicep looks toned an fabulous beneath the purple. Always looking for a silver lining… ;-)

    Ouch! That is huge!

I cannot remember a time when I do not have a bruise somewhere. Luckily half the time I see the bruise and think ‘Where the hell did that come from?!’ but that could just mean that I have developed early onset of senile dementia.

I have kicked a brick before (don’t ask) and put my foot through a plate glass front door. I fell last year and broke a finger and smacked my head on the security pass scanner. I have fallen in a garden and smacked my head against a brick wall while my husband and brother in law watched my head bounce back off it.

    I’m just dangerous….like you apparently.

Hope it stops being so painful soon! x

I advise falling into large cocktails. You’ll bring happier with the end result. (That looks brutal!)

Yes and when I run into something I tell my husband to remind me what I did, because when it turns black and blue in a few days I won’t remember and I’ll be like, “WTF is that??” Welcome to middle age…..smh

Oh, wow! That looks pretty painful. Probably worse then it was from something as innocent as a doorknob, too! Would’ve been better if it was from something like this ( because then you’d have a cool story!
