This blog is not for the light-hearted or easily offended. If either one of those descriptions applies to you, i would suggest you start drinking before you read this blog. A sense of humor is suggested. If you don't have one that sucks for you … find one and get a life!
Today is Thursday and I’m heading down to Atlanta for Mom 2.0 Summit. You’re probably wondering why such a slacker at blogging is going to a conference. Well I’m here to tell you.
I actually haven’t been to one in a year since I went to the Mom 2.0 Summit in California and I’m kind of over the entire blogging conference thing but I love this conference.
First of all they don’t really discuss “blogging” per se; they discuss business models and such. (not that it matters to be since I’m not about the money but it is interesting I suppose) Second, the women who attend this conference and from all over and they’re usually pretty interesting women.
So basically, I’m going to this conference to socialize. You see, each year at Mom 2.0 I have managed to meet some very, very interesting woman. Not just the ones I know (you know who you are) but women that I wouldn’t run across living in North Carolina.
Two years ago I went to the conference with Nicole Morgan of Sisters from another Mister and of course, she’s amazing. But on top of that, we hung out with Shelly Kramer who I love, love, love and I’m so bummed she won’t be there this year. You need to be following her on Twitter.
I always travel with my good friend Ann Zuraw, from Chicks, Chats and Change (a financial blog because she’s a financial planner … call her) and we have so much fun together.
Last year I met Samantha Kurtzman-Counter from The Mother Company and not only did I enjoy meeting her she hooked my daughter up with a job. How can you possibly beat that?
So who knows who Ann and Nicole and I will meet this year? The one thing I know is that they will be fun, articulate and smart and I’m psyched. Will it be you? Who knows?
Hopefully I’ll have some good stories too. See ya!
