This blog is not for the light-hearted or easily offended. If either one of those descriptions applies to you, i would suggest you start drinking before you read this blog. A sense of humor is suggested. If you don't have one that sucks for you … find one and get a life!

In which i just kinda update you

Guys! I don’t think that I told you that I was going to Los Angeles to take care of Keely while she has a medical procedure. I don’t know how much time I’ll have to post since I’ll be a “nurse” but I’m going to try.

Meanwhile, hopefully I’ve put up enough posts to get me through Memorial Day but if not, well I guess you won’t have any posts.

Here’s a random post though full of just a few things.

First of all, when I did my “You’re welcome…” last week I explained I was running out of facts and I got this comment which I found hilarious. It was from Kath and I laughed. Hopefully you will too!

Second, I have boatloads of paperwork to do but I’m getting ready to leave and I’m in theory, getting Daniel ready to leave and frankly I just don’t feel like doing it.

Third of all, what’s up with all this insurance crap? Just when I finish one batch I get another.

Fourth of all, I finally blew off the back porch the other day and I practically smothered in pollen but at least I can see the furniture. Then it rained for an entire day and now it doesn’t look good again so when will I be able to use it?

Fifth, did I mention that I had W(h)ine with Lynn last week? Yeah, I did and once again it was a pretty good turnout and success. You guys should really try this because it’s so damn easy. But, people had requested an outdoor location so I tried it. My reservation was screwed up so the PrintWorks Bistro did NOT have a location for us but fortunately, we lucked in to a corner set of couches. The evening was awesome and that was fun but the waiter service was awful. I could have distilled my own liquor in the time it took to get a drink.
Therefore, in June I’m having it at my house. I know, I know! I said I wouldn’t but I told everyone to bring $10 and I’d just get beer, wine and munchies. I just thought it would be easier.

We will take July off and probably August too since I think I’ll be in Maine. What a fun concept. Glad I thought of it!

What number am I on? Oh yeah, six!!! So Daniel is leaving tomorrow and won’t be back for 3 months. Andie will be home the month of July. I love my kids to come and honestly, I love them to go. Does that make me terrible? It’s just all these damn dinners I have to cook. I hate to cook.

Ok, that’s it for today. I think I should maybe accomplish something. I did complete level 575 of Candy Crush though so that’s something.

Hey! I missed this post… yay me :)

I hate to cook too. My kids are all grown.. I still have to cook. What am I doing wrong?
Oh yeah, husband. Also I cook for my dog. Since I’m still trying to maintain a weight loss I myself eat leaves.
And yogurt. I hate leaves and yogurt. I see the problem here. My fault. Maybe I can get the dog and the husband on kibble?

I want to go to Maine!!! Can’t though, because dog.

And the library would have to close because short staff.

    :) Someday….

Do you know how much I love your blog? I don’t know when (maybe a few months ago?) or how I discovered it, but you make me laugh and roll my eyes in complicity every time. Most bloggers are women with young kids, writing about that, which is hilarious, and I get it and I love it. Other bloggers focus on their craft, and I love that too. But how many bloggers are there out there with adult-ish kids, who are women with independent lives, and just as funny as the day they were born? Not too many that hit the mark for me, sadly. You give me hope that I can continue/aspire to be funny and smart my whole life. (BTW my kids are 9 & 11, no longer little, not quite teens.) Please don’t ever stop writing your blog. I have not paid attention so I don’t know where you live, but if you are ever in Atlanta, GA, look me up and I will gladly take you to a nice dinner and introduce you to my funny Mom friends who routinely read your blog b/c I forward it to them all the time!!!

Wow! This was a great comment because I often wonder why I’m actually writing my blog. I really really appreciate it and might actually frame that comment. I live in NC btw
