This blog is not for the light-hearted or easily offended. If either one of those descriptions applies to you, i would suggest you start drinking before you read this blog. A sense of humor is suggested. If you don't have one that sucks for you … find one and get a life!

In which i reached a decision

Last week I was pondering the future of this blog.  If you actually read it on a regular basis you KNOW that I go through mood swings and feel like quitting constantly.  However, I never expected to last this long and I really don’t want to quit.  I was really just venting and trying to figure out a happy medium to make it less full of pressure.

When I started, over 2 years ago, I was posting 5 days/week.  I don’t labor over these posts the way many “writers” do.  I just throw them out there and truthfully, I barely proof them.  (Can you tell?)

When I’m in a good mood I can write them really, really fast and writing 5 days/ week is no problem but when I’m stressed or worried or just melancholy I just can’t.  Then I start feeling guilty and under pressure and that pisses me off so then I don’t want to even write. It’s sort of a vicious circle.

So I was considering just writing 3 days a week or wondering if lately people thought the blog was crap.  The reason is that I haven’t felt funny so I figured that totally showed.  I never really know my numbers because I can’t figure out my feed thing since I send a full instead of a partial feed.  You can thank my friend Ann for that.

She pointed out that if you’re reading on a mobile device then with a partial feed you have to reload and go to the blog.  I figured that was a hassle and since I don’t advertise who cares about the blog hits and it’d make it easier on my readers.

Nonetheless, I asked what you guys thought and I got LOTS of love.  Soooo much love that it made me happy and I wrote a bunch of posts.  Here’s some of my loyal readers comments:

Mary Lou                    Please continue-it makes my morning!

Mirela                         Every day, s’il vous plait :)

Julie                            I look forward to starting my day with you and your crazy stories. I’m sure I can adjust to changes but I don’t wanna.

Angie                          I enjoy reading your post, but don’t let it stress you out. Post when you want to, short or long, who cares as long as you are happy.

Rich D.                                    I like a daily dose, thanks.

Jane                            Hmmm…..look forward to the daily

How about a photo of something in your day on those days like many other bloggers do — so we know you are truckin on

Some how you are like a sister now — the one that writes not the one who doesn’t and can’t even be bothered with her photo on Facebook ;)

Susan                          Lynn, you do what is best for YOU …You always make me smile. I’ll be “here” whatever you decide!

Paula                          I like reading them everyday but if it’s becoming to much for you then just do whatever is good for you. We’ll be around waiting. :)

PS- I never think your posts are crap!

Happy AOK                Good Morning Lynn,

I enjoy it but I would very happy to read your words on MWF … I like that idea! But whatever you feel comfortable is what you should do. We will support you doing what you need and want to do!! Enjoy your NOW and if that means forgetting to post – so be it. :o))

Lainey                         If if ain’t broke…. you are like my favorite crazy aunt and I love the relatability factor that you have. I am not going anywhere and I love getting your daily posts. However, that being said, if you need to take time for yourself and reduce your load then I am thinking we can all manage. It may take a support group to get through it, but we will manage.

Robin                          Personally, I’m wondering whose going to buy all that crap in                                       your store if you quit posting. :) WWJD?

Melanie                      I totally love reading you every day. I had to give up my M-F because it just proved to be too much for me. But even though I only post like twice a week now, it’s still crap. :)

Brigett C.                    Give us a couple a week. You need a break every once in a while so you don’t get burned out.

Toni                            Sweetie…its your blog, so you set the rules. Do not let yourself get stressed over how often you post. This is not life and death and you’re not getting a paycheck, so just post when you can for now, until you can post more often. We will still be here.

Sally                            Stalking here! I enjoy reading your posts everyday when I get home from work. Could you just keep your M-F schedule, but not stress out if you miss a day? I mean, it’s your blog….post when you want! We will deal with it if you miss a day….obviously we get through the weekends:)
Love your humor!

Patty                           I love the rambling daily posts with my coffee in my All Fooked Up mug every morning.

Gail                              You’re the best.

You can imagine that after reading these incredibly awesome comments I was stoked to continue.  So here’s what I have decided to do.  At first I was going to go to MWF definitely but now I think I’ll take the advice of all the people above.  I’m going to attempt to publish every day but I will publish no less than MWF.

I might put some funny filler up in between if I can’t write or I’m blocked or busy.   I always put funny stuff up on the All Fooked Up Facebook page so maybe I’ll put those up here occasionally when I don’t feel like writing.

When I do things like travel, like when I take Keely to California in January, perhaps I’ll repost some older posts that are funny yet incredibly poorly written. (hard to imagine right? That there are some posts more poorly written than now???)

So there you go! Thanks to all who answered and showed me the love.  I would DEFINITELY not be doing it if not for all the loyal readers.

Everyone have a great day!!!
