This blog is not for the light-hearted or easily offended. If either one of those descriptions applies to you, i would suggest you start drinking before you read this blog. A sense of humor is suggested. If you don't have one that sucks for you … find one and get a life!

In which i say no more

This morning I posted a rant on my blog and really didn’t give it much thought until I got to the gym.  One person and then another asked me “how I was doing?”  I was doing fine and I looked at them puzzled.

Then I got on my spin bike and I was sitting next to my ex-sister-in-law, ex-best-friend and I said “I’m going up to my reunion tomorrow” to which she responded “I read your blog; say NO MORE!”

HAHAHA…I started laughing so loud.  People don’t even need to ask how I’m doing anymore because they can just read about it.  The funny thing is that I write these posts and then I don’t always post them immediately.  Therefore, I can be in a foul mood and write a ranty post and the day it gets published I can be in a fantastic mood (although that didn’t happen this time).  Of course, the reverse is true as well.

At any rate, it’s funny how people respond to me by reading my blog and assuming my mood.  By the end of class, which was ridiculously hard by the way and I burned 414 calories in 55 minutes, I was exhausted and the instructor said to me “are you in a better mood now?” to which somebody else replied “she can’t get in a good mood, it’ll mess up her blog!”

So there you are! I’m completely judged by the shit I spew.  I tend to write these blog posts in batches.  I start out my day normally at the gym.  Since honestly, I fucking hate working out, I spend a fair amount of my time working out “off in space.”  It’s during these space outs when I have my post ideas.  Sometimes I’m so excited I can barely wait to get off the bike and get home.  Unfortunately, half the time I’ve forgotten what I wanted to say but occasionally I remember.

If I’m in a very good mood I usually have more than one topic to write about.  Of course, when I’m in a bad mood, like yesterday, I just come in here and start spewing shit.  Then of course, there’s the myriad of random conversations I have with my three children.  They chat with me in person, by Text, and also by Facebook chat; those can be some ridiculous conversations.  And last, but not least, there’s the crazy shit that Kevin and I talk about.

With all this fodder around, sometimes I have so many posts that I can’t put them all up.  If I’ve written a post that seems “timeless” in the sense that it can be posted anytime because there’s nothing that reflects a certain time period, I hold those posts back for when I’m having a dry spell.  However sometimes, the conversations relate to something immediate.  I then have to figure out where I can shove that post in ASAP.

I also try to alternate between ridiculous posts and my “somewhat” serious ones.  Since I’m aware that many people read this for a morning smile, I don’t like to throw too much serious shit at you guys but I do have a serious side to me also.

So now you know the inner workings of my mind.  Well, you know how my mind is working today; can’t promise that tomorrow, I won’t have an entirely different philosophy.  I was just explaining something to someone at the gym this morning and they turned to me and said, “you’re a pretty complicated person.”  I think so too!

And THAT is why I drive myself crazy.

I’m just saying…

Well, now I have to go and read what you were pissed off about. I missed that one. Glad you’re happy today. I hate exercise too. I”m trying to give away my exercise bike and Joan’s making smart remarks that I “don’t look like I am ready to give up the exercise bike”. WTF does that mean? So I was not in a good mood when I started reading your post. But I am now. Funny lady. Love it.

NO ONE KNOWS about my blog. Except for my wife, people outside the home who know me have no idea I even have one. That way I can say whatever I want about anything.

I totally get that and I suspect that’s fairly common. I’m kind of a loose cannon at the best of times and I don’t actually say anything here I wouldn’t say in person. I’ll have to check that out!!!

Of course, what always cracks me up is how ‘some’ people take the whole blog postings so seriously they think that you are totally writing about them, and only them… to the point of paranoia.
Have had this with some individuals at work. I nodded sagely, said I took their points on board and assured them I was not out to ridicule them.
The truth however is that – and I would love to tell them this – they are actually not that interesting. Why would I bother in the first place? More exciting to watch paint dry.

Hahaha…that’s so funny! And a great observation…people do tend to get paranoid although i hardly ever write about the people I know… Great comment!

LOL, that’s the good thing about having a life blog, though. Everyone can always read what you’re up to & how you’ve been doing. I always want to write down those ideas before they slip my mind, but you have ADD like I do, so we both know how near impossible that is.

Happy Mother’s Day, Lynn!! =) I was just over at Jills, explaining how far I’ve fallen behind reading up on my friends with so many blogs to read & so much going on, and I apologize for that. I still love your crazy ass & your crazy blog. <3 I hope you've had a wonderful weekend. =)

Well, you’ve certainly had some major health issues so there’s no need to worry. I try to write stuff down but I always have my thoughts at the most random times.
