This blog is not for the light-hearted or easily offended. If either one of those descriptions applies to you, i would suggest you start drinking before you read this blog. A sense of humor is suggested. If you don't have one that sucks for you … find one and get a life!
Guys, so it’s really happening! I’m going to have 3 of my paintings in an art show. It all came about by accident really but I’m pretty psyched because I’m swimming in paintings.
They’re probably NOT the paintings that I would have picked out to show first but still, I’m pleased that they’ll be in a show. After all, if one or two of them should sell then perhaps I can put some more pieces in the gallery.
It’s not that I’m dying to be a “selling artist,” it’s just that I have so many more pictures then I have wall space for. I could start giving them away but I actually get quite a few compliments on them it while it’s not about the money, it would be nice to break even with all my supplies and such.
And let’s not forget the validation. I think that I’d quite like people to enjoy the pictures and think they’re worth buying.
Does that make me shallow? I really don’t know. I don’t have a desire to be well known or anything but I suppose that just like anyone else I would like to know people like what I’m doing.
At any rate, the show is opening on July 24th at the Tyler White O’Brien Gallery in Greensboro. There is an opening night but Kevin will be at a family reunion up in Vermont so Andie said she’d go with me. I have certainly never been to anything like it but hopefully it’ll be fun.
We shall see.
Here are the pictures:
I’ll let you know how it goes.

I like the bottom painting. I work part time at a small gallery and you would be surprised what art sells. Your 3 would fit in quite well. Good luck on your opening. Enjoy the spotlight.
thanks, i appreciate it.
I Like the second one but all are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. And you know you are going to have a fun time!!
thanks
I keep going back to the 48×48 LOVE! Good luck Lynne! I still think you could sell them to Hollywood for set design!
well getting them there would be a hassle i bet. Thanks Theresa
Congrats! That’s always exciting, being in an art show. You are on your way, keep on painting!
thanks so much
These are so beautiful! Being able to paint and create art is such a wonderful gift. Glad you are finding a way to use yours!

I like your pictures, especially the top one. Congratulations!
Also congratulations on acquiring a new kitten. I hope Butterscotch is adapting.
