In which i’m psyched about my trip

airplane

So I’m pretty excited about this trip to Costa Rica that we’re going on. Boy, that was a mangled English sentence wasn’t it?  I was reading an article the other day about people who use poor grammar and how it drives other people (probably people who know grammar) crazy and I thought, “Hope they don’t read my blog.”

Speaking of this blog, somebody asked me the other day how many “hours” a day it took to write these posts and keep up this blog.  People, don’t worry about me.  As you can probably tell I spend very little (VERY LITTLE) time writing this blog.  I put these things out without a lot of thought (I’m sure you can tell that), absolutely NO proofing (always tons of mistakes) and very little other shit that I should be doing.

I’ve decided that I can keep it up for now as long as it doesn’t create a big time drain so that’s why it pretty much sucks.

So, anyways … about my trip.  I have to have Carol (my everything person) come in to feed Gil and Hercules (the fish) and she said maybe I should have her tend to Butterscotch (cat) too.  Now Butterscotch does hate the vets but Carol will be here only every other day.

So what do you guys think? Is having a cat in a cage at the vets and getting 15 minute playtime daily better or worse than having her here at home and getting a ton of playtime every other day? She’ll have plenty of food although she gets all-persnickety if it’s stale but I’m sure if she’s hungry enough she will deal. HUH? HUH? HUH?

This morning Tucker (who will be going to the vets) somehow didn’t even make it outside to shit and while I was reading the paper he took a dump on the kitchen floor.  Yeah, practically in front of me! Of course, I didn’t notice but Kevin sure did when he walked in and STEPPED in it.  Boy was he pissed.

What the hell am I going to do with that dog? He’s old and crotchety and seriously, he’s driving me nuts.  He barks every time you walk into the kitchen and now he’s dumping next to me.  ARGGGHHHHH!

Anyways, back to Costa Rica.  I’m psyched and particularly about rappelling just because it sounds kind of badass and I’ve never done that before. Hopefully I won’t die but we ARE getting our will together just in case.

Beyond that, I’m doing nothing for Christmas because I got each kid one gift (well, not Daniel yet but I will) and we’re taking them with us.  That’s enough right?

I don’t want anything except perhaps a coffee maker that doesn’t leak all the time.  Kevin is too anal to buy for because I never get the right thing.

That’s it around here…hmmmmm…have a great day!

Even if you don’t spend a lot of time on this blog, PLEASE post pics of your Costa Rica trip if/when you can. And if you are so inclined. :) I’d love to see them.

I’d say a trip to a foreign country is a pretty great gift, so one present each sounds fair.

Can’t help you out about the old dog, but my vote is for kitty to stay at the house and get extra attention every other day. I know mine are happier being in their own home even if we’re not there for a few days.

I say leave the cat at home to wander and amuse herself. Rappelling is a BLAST (although I haven’t done it since I was a kid). Have a great time.

My kitty is always happier if she stays home and has human interaction only once in a while. I have pet sitters that come in and care for her twice a day (because she’s spoiled) but I still think even if it were only every other day she would be happier that she got to stay at home. So I vote for letting your kitty stay home.

    BTW – great blog!
