This blog is not for the light-hearted or easily offended. If either one of those descriptions applies to you, i would suggest you start drinking before you read this blog. A sense of humor is suggested. If you don't have one that sucks for you … find one and get a life!

In which i’m still here … are you?

Hello? Is there anyone out there? I ask because I don’t think I’ve written a blog post in two weeks. I wanted to write one earlier but since Kevin was doing paperwork and we only have one chair in the office I decided to point.

I did paint, poorly though.

Speaking of painting I bet you’re dying to know what I’ve been up to right????

Ok so you remember that I gave 11 paintings to Universal Furniture to put in their showroom? What? YOU DON’T REMEMBER??? Well, I did.

No problem except then I got an email asking for 5 paintings in the seminar room from the Furniture Market. Well this is actually a great opportunity for me since this room hosts cocktail parties and has a lot of continuing education for Interior Designers which I think will be my main audience that I’m catering to.

When I asked if there was any particular style or color they directed me to the “Pantene” colors and said that they wanted Candy Apple Red and Delft Blue. I sent them pictures of all the paintings in that range and they said they’d take some of my bigger ones, which is great since they don’t fit in my booth.

However, now I was like “holy shit! What’s left for my booth????” and I basically panicked … sort of. I say sort of because I’m really not a panicker.

Meanwhile, I had just taken my FIRST Painting class since 1987 when I took a watercolor class and was called “painting without a brush.” Did I tell you guys that? I don’t even remember because I don’t know what my last post was and I certainly don’t feel like checking because I’m typing so damn fast.

I did this little mini acrylic pictures on 8×10 paper and they were so damn cute that I decided I’d come home and try some more. I did try 8 more and you they were also pretty fucking awesome and I decided “what the fuck?” let’s make a lot more of these and that my friends, is what I’ve been up to.

So now I have about 8 22×30 acrylic paintings on paper and 16 9×12 acrylics on paper and they’re kind of cool. I have to get a few framed and I’m going to sell them really cheap and that should just about round out my booth,

Of course, with my luck, I’ll sell and these quick and easy and small ones and still end up with all the large ones BACK AT MY HOUSE! Then I’ll be begging people to take them off my hands or find another hobby.

So that’s what I’ve been up to. Basically painting and organizing for what was supposed to be a hobby and what I DON’T want to be a business.

Beyond that I hate politics, North Carolina in particular. They suck and I’m in shock that they basically have all these small-minded people making decisions that over 60% of the electorate don’t support. Don’t get me started.

Things are crazy and after the market hopefully I’ll be writing more. Until then sorry that I’m not funny anymore. Hopefully that’ll come back as well. Who the fuck knows though.

See ya

Still here and still enjoying your posts, even if they ‘are’ two weeks apart–no problem!
