This blog is not for the light-hearted or easily offended. If either one of those descriptions applies to you, i would suggest you start drinking before you read this blog. A sense of humor is suggested. If you don't have one that sucks for you … find one and get a life!
This is going to be short but I thought this was amusing. As you know, I have been collecting beer caps again. I collected them the first time for a project of Andie’s and now I’m thinking of a project for Keely.
One of the things that makes the projects interesting is to have new and unusual beer caps. Needless to say, I have a ton of Heinken and Corona and Bud Lite’s but I like to have a lot of craft beer caps too. Therefore, whenever I go to a new bar or restaurant, I ask the bartender to collect caps for me. Normally, the bartender is happy to but sometimes they just refuse.
When I was in Maine I was psyched to collect some new caps but I went to a new restuarant with some people. As usual, I asked the bartender to collect caps and then I ordered a Tecate which is a Mexican beer that I rarely drink.
I was excited to drink my new beer when they put THIS up on the bar. That’s right, the beer is in a CAN!
I said to the bartender, “why wouldn’t you tell me that the beer was in a CAN when I’m clearly collecting caps?” to which I got no good answer.
Unbelievable. Fortunately, when I was in LA I did get some new cool caps. So, if you have cool microbrew caps around you and want to send them to me, let me know.
Oh! and no cans … just saying.
You mean you aren’t planning to do a pop top project? Or send them to Ronald McDonald house?
Ronald McDonald wants beer caps??
Ronald McDonald House collects the tabs from beer cans……I don’t know exactly how that works, but they do it here too….
I had a top once that said open before drinking….it was from a very hoppy IPA my husband likes. If I find it, I can send it? I found it quite amusing…..
Open before drinking…that’s pretty funny
