In which it was a movie marathon

Last Friday was one of Andie’s last days around here so I decided I would do whatever she wanted to do.  Of course she had left a LOT of stuff until the last minute.

For example:

Getting the crack in the windshield fixed

Getting her car serviced

Getting new tires

Getting her watch fitted and the battery fixed

Other assorted shit …

Nonetheless we did all this stuff and as it was a rainy day we decided we would go see Guardians of the Galaxy.  Now I wasn’t dying to see the movie but andie really wanted to do and when we asked Kevin if he wanted to see it he didn’t seem really psyched about it.

So we decided to drop off the car to get the window fixed and then go to a 1:00 movie.  Andie wanted lunch but we decided to just get a yogurt and then have popcorn for lunch because … why not???

So we went to the movie and it was fantastic.  Really FANTASTIC!!! We called Kevin and he asked about the movie and we told him it was great and he was all upset and jealous, especially when he heard about the popcorn.  In fact, he told us we “sucked” which wasn’t very nice because honestly, he didn’t really wanna go anyways.

Then we went home and watched Wall-E, Beauty and the Beast and we were just getting ready for Little Mermaid when Kevin arrived home.  Boy was he jealous when he realized he had missed an incredible movie day.  He made up for it by singing The Little Mermaid out loud during the movie.

We pointed out that it wasn’t our fault that he had a job to go to and wasn’t it grand that we were having a great day.  That didn’t really seem to help though.

BUT … we did save Last of the Mohicans for him and that’s one of his favorite movies ever so there’s that.

So that’s what we did last Friday.  It was terrific. How was your day??
