This blog is not for the light-hearted or easily offended. If either one of those descriptions applies to you, i would suggest you start drinking before you read this blog. A sense of humor is suggested. If you don't have one that sucks for you … find one and get a life!
So I know that I told you guys the other day that I was in Vermont. Being from North Carolina, I haven’t been in cold weather all that often. That’s why I decided that I HAD to go outside when it said it was -6 degrees the other day. I wasn’t into getting cold; I just wanted to see if I could. I did! It was very, very cold and basically all I did was warm up the car but hey! That counts doesn’t it?
Here’s the proof:
Then the other day we were driving around and one of the craziest things was how big the icicles were on the eaves of the house. Keely, who had been in Boston, reported that some of them were so big at the base that they couldn’t be broken! I can only imagine how dangerous it will be if any of these bad boys fall. Anyways, we were driving around and I yelled “STOP” and Kevin did and then I made him back up so I could take a picture of this house because I never see anything like that at home. If you’re from up North and you’re bored with all this cold stuff just settle down; I’m a southerner.
Meanwhile, I wanted to take a picture of the mountains from the back of the house but alas, there was no exit except onto the deck and you’ve already seen that there was about 3 feet of snow on the deck. So, I put on Keely’s rainboots (yeah, that’s what she brought … hahaha) and of course, I had Capri Gym pants on because we were going to the gym next. I walked out the garage and peeked around the house to see if there was any way to get to the back yard.
I noticed some footprints and I figured that it must not be as deep there so I took a step and FUCK!!! Up past my knees in snow. Snow in my boots (which I’m barefooted in of course). Snow up my pants and that’s not all! I have the phone in one hand and a glove on the other (because it’s cold) and I can’t figure out a way to get out without balancing on my hand.
After I climbed out I gave up and went inside and took pictures through the window. Yeah, I’m a candy ass!
After we got home on Sunday we had an ice/snow storm that basically only snowed a few inches over a sheet of ice (so nobody could drive) and then last night we had 5 inches but it was pretty slushy so driving is no problem.
It was a very pretty snow but truthfully, I’m over it at this point.
And that’s the end of my snow saga … bet you wish I was more exciting like in the old days!!!!
lol, I am surprised Kevin is still alive after the other photo.
