In which it’s a really smart place

I think one of my biggest problems might be that I seem to always be putting things in “a really smart place” and yet, I’m not quite smart enough to know where that place is.

Case in point:

I need a wide sharpie.

I have a wide sharpie.

In fact, I used said sharpie JUST LAST WEEK to write Fragile on a box.

Actually I wrote FRAGILE.

Multiple times.

Cuz I was actually sending a painting

… hence the fragile

But that’s not the point

The point is that I used in last week

And now, I can’t find it.

I looked in the office

I looked in the kitchen

I actually have a huge can of sharpies and stuff in the kitchen

No wide sharpie though

I looked in the Garage

Cuz that’s where I wrote Fragile

Or rather FRAGILE

But it’s not there

Or in the laundry room

Or in the cubbies

I have no clue but I bet when I put it wherever it is I thought “this is a smart place” and “I’ll never forget this spot” but I’m NOT smart enough and it’s gone.

I need it … to sign another painting.

Oh well. I would love to say that this is an unusual experience but Kevin always jokes that somewhere in this house is a REALLY SMART PLACE that’s all full of stuff. Stuff like diamond studs, my wedding band, my engagement ring, other assorted things that seem to disappear. That’s why I really have no jewelry.

Anyways, that happened.

In other news I was in Vermont but although we definitely had some laughs it was sort of a serious trip. Kevin’s dad is undergoing chemo and he’s not been feeling well and my niece had a miscarriage at 6 months so that was quite sad.

So that’s where I’m at. It’s a beautiful day and that’s all I have for today!

I can’t help you with finding the marker but someone likely moved it. And their name is either Nobody or Someone Else. That is what I get here. Sorry for your family issues.

Thing is that nobody is around here much so I suspect both nobody or someone else are both me!!!!

I think the person’s name is, “I haven’t seen it” because that SOB moves everything!

Yep…..last time I used something and put it somewhere, hubby found it, used it and put it back somewhere else. 6 years we’ve been in this house and he has no idea where certain things go……BAH!

Sorry for your father-in-law and neice. When it rains it pours sometimes.

As for the spot. I have a ton of those in my house…just don’t remember where. EVER! Until of course I replace the item, and find the lost item the next day.

Sorry about the family, life is hard and getting older is not fun sometimes.

Positive thoughts going out to your father in law and niece.
As for the Sharpie, check the fridge. You wouldn’t believe the shit I find in there.
