This blog is not for the light-hearted or easily offended. If either one of those descriptions applies to you, i would suggest you start drinking before you read this blog. A sense of humor is suggested. If you don't have one that sucks for you … find one and get a life!
It’s August 17th and it’s Kevin’s birthday. As a birthday present Daniel came home from Europe and Kevin is extremely happy! After all, Daniel is the light of his life. What? You didn’t think it was me did you???
In other news Andie came home for the weekend and she’s incredibly whiney. Why is Andie whiney? It’s just what she does.
The past two weeks she has learned how to draw blood, insert IV’s, do pelvic and prostate exams as well as read all sorts of tests that are medical related. She’s practically a doctor already although I asked her if I had skin cancer and she said, “I don’t know” so as far as I can tell she’s still basically useless.
Although I must say the sheer amount of trivia that kid has stored in her head is amazing. I think the difference between her and me is that she retains all her knowledge and I never remember anything.
So the fish need their tank cleaned and I just lectured them for always getting it so dirty. Tucker is besides me licking his ass. I mean, I’m happy he’s not licking his paws because they kept getting infected but can’t the dog just ever chill???
I guess I never really told you guys about Maine but one thing I had to do was go through about a billion blueberries and pull out all the bad ones and pull of the stems. This was for the “jam” that my cousins were making. It was a colossal pain in the ass because, unlike North Carolina blueberries, these things were tiny.
I personally felt that a little roughage aka stems wasn’t a bad addition but apparently I was the only one who felt that way. I didn’t really enjoy dealing with them and after all that my cousin Laurie fucked up the batch anyways. When I pointed out to her that last year when I was with her she also fucked up the jam she told me to “shut up.” I’m definitely unappreciated up there.
Andie and I also shopped this past week for “professional” clothing for her. Yes, Andie now has to look decent since she’s starting rotations and will be at doctor’s offices and in the hospital. I suppose she didn’t think the “gym shorts and t-shirt” look was appropriate although it works for me!
Keely is still in California although she’s coming home next week for a friends wedding. We won’t see her much but she’ll be around some on Sunday so that’ll be fun.
Ok, this was boring but I don’t care because I’m off to hang with my family and later we’re going to see Guardians of the Galaxy (again) and I’m psyched.
