In which my fish are annoyed with me

goldfish jumping off to new fishtank

Guys, I’m in my office and Gilgamesh and Hercules are a little bit pissed off with me. Are you asking who they are??????

Why, they’re my goldfish of course. Actually they’re Andie’s goldfish and she says that I’m just their “caretaker” but they’ve been with me for three years so they’re basically my goldfish.

Anyways, I was just talking to them and since I’ve been doing all this art stuff they feel dissed. When I was really writing this blog (back in the day 3-5 days/week) I was in my office all the time. I also did my paperwork. (That’s another issue that I’ve been avoiding)

As a result they often had company because I would come in here and Tucker would come in here (I really, really miss Tucker … it’s been an entire year without my puppy). As I was writing my blog or doing my work I would often have conversations with them.

Now since I’m painting a lot and avoiding my paperwork (I’ll probably get kicked out of this house soon) they’ve spent a lot of time alone. I don’t think it’s my fault that they have to live in their tank. It’s a pretty good-sized tank but not at all portable.

At any rate they feel ignored.

So today I topped off their water and gave them some anti-sludge treatment. What more do they want for me?

My kitten is one year old now and I guess she’s not a kitty anymore but she still attacks Butterscotch who is sedentary.

Yeah, I spend most of my life alone with needy animals. (I’m not sure a fish is an animal.)

Anyways, I’m trying to get shit done before the market starts in two days. The market is from 8 AM to 7 PM and it’ll take an hour to get there and park so those are pretty full days.

Not only that but Passover is right after the market and I have cooking to do so I’m making the brisket today and then freezing it. I don’t understand how my life got so busy. Don’t people realize that I’m incredibly lazy other than my workouts?

So that’s what’s happening around here. I’ll try to update you guys during market but I have no clue if I’ll be busy or not.

I do know that if I have to bring al those fucking paintings back here I’ll kill myself.

Well maybe I’m not that dramatic.

See ya

Don’t think you’ll be bringing many of those paintings home, the booth looks amazing even from a photograph. Love your work! As for Tucker, been there having lost my 14 year old “best dog ever” in February. I finally took the plunge last week when I adopted a 3 year old rescue dog who was desperately in need of a good home. Best move ever. The dog even came house trained…bonus! I really worried about it, did I want the responsibly again? Could I ever love another dog again like the last one? Did I honestly want to go through that kind of f’Ing grief again? One week later I’m so glad I did it so maybe after the show you should consider? And Happy Passover…bet that brisket will be the bomb

Thanks Chris. I’m hoping I sell out too!!! I haven’t yet adopted another dog mostly because I need to travel and already feel bad about the cats being left behind never mind a dog.

I’m sure the brisket will be ok although it’s in the freezer now!

Fish are pets. Hell, dustbunnies are pets if you cultivate just enough that they don’t become a herd and overtake your space. Your art is fantastic. I would buy it all!
