In which times a wasting!

whats your story

You would think that with Christmas behind us that things would be less hectic but, in fact, that is not the case.  You see, yesterday Keely’s “potential” roommate for Los Angeles totally bagged on her and now she is back to square one.

This wasn’t a complete surprise to me, as I’m a far more cynical person, but Keely kept giving the girl the benefit of the doubt.  Yesterday, after over a month of stalling, the girl informed Keely that she had found another apartment.  Combined with the fact that Keely’s “start date” for her job was moved up two weeks, it’s now ZERO hour for getting the move together.

Along with this, I discovered that you cannot ship a car cross country that is filled with belongings.  Now all of a sudden, I have to find someone to drive the car cross-country and Keely needs to figure out a place to live.  So I suppose the next few weeks will be tense and crazy.

Why can’t Keely drive her own car cross-country? Good question but I think that would be really, really bad for her hip and that’s the priority at this point in time. It’s unfortunate because that would certainly be easier.

So I found myself yesterday on-line looking at all the crazy people in LA looking for roommates.  Back in the day, I found my first roommate in New York City through such a service.  I lasted 4 months with the girl who had ridiculous hours.  Not because of her job though: she would stay up until 3 or 4 every night doing cocaine and then wonder why she was so exhausted every morning for work.

I decided that I would rather live by myself and after 4 months of her driving me crazy, that’s exactly what I did.  Keely wants to have a roommate though so we shall see what comes of that.

Well, that’s what I’m up to.  I know it’s short but times a wasting people!!! I have web-based research to do!

Over 1 million people committed suicide in the world in 2012. About 90% of those had a mental disorder. Bringing in the new year my hope is that a drastic reduction of suicides is attained in 2013! Here’s to hoping that 2013 can be a Happier New Year for Everyone!

Ooof that’s crazy! I found my first roommate out of college of craigslist. It turned out fine…sometimes she was a little bit annoying, but certainly not anything horrific. I recommend starting there. Good luck!

Lynn…tweeted you. We should talk, cause depending on your time frame, my husband may be able to solve your car across the country problem. I’ll DM you my call phone and we can chat if you want.
